Police detective Frank Taylor had his life turn upside down. His young son Kevin was kidnapped in the middle of the night, resulting in the crumbling of his marriage. Soon after, Frank quit the force to become a private detective, hoping to get leads that would help him find his son. While investigating the kidnapping of a young boy and his babysitter, Frank faces off against their abductor, the sinister Simon. During a shootout, Simon is killed and Frank is seriously injured. In hospital, Frank discovers he is being haunted by a random collection of ghosts.
